The brief

Project objectives

  • Speak to parties, care homes and therapy visits without splitting into three sites
  • Put the licence number and the come-to-you promise in the first screen
  • Keep booking a visit one tap away from any page
  • Stay bright and playful without becoming hard to read

What we did

A family-run miniature pony business in Deeping St James that visits birthday parties, care homes and therapy sessions. Three quite different audiences, booked in quite different ways, by one small team — so the job was to give each of them a route through the site without splitting it into three.

The design leans into what the business actually is. Bunting, hearts and a soft pastel palette, because a parent booking a fourth birthday is not looking for a corporate brochure, and a care home activities coordinator is not looking for one either. The things that build trust — the licence number, the gentle temperament, the fact that the ponies come to you — sit in the first screen rather than three clicks down an About page, and the phone number stays within reach the whole way down on a phone.

Services split into parties, care homes and therapy visits, each with its own page and its own tone, all reachable from one menu. The gallery and the Meet the Ponies page do the rest of the selling: this is a business people buy with their eyes, and the ponies are more persuasive than any amount of copy.

It is built on a custom theme rather than a page builder, which keeps the pages light on a rural mobile signal.
