SEO

Local and organic search for businesses that need the phone to ring — technical groundwork, pages that answer, and reporting you can actually read.

Getting found by the people nearby

For most of the businesses we work with, search is not a national game. It is being the obvious choice within twenty miles — the plumber, the clinic, the venue, the consultancy that turns up first and looks like it knows what it is doing.

That is a specific job. It means a Google Business Profile that is actually filled in, pages built around the things people search for rather than the things you call them internally, reviews that keep arriving, and a site quick enough that nobody gives up waiting.

None of it is fast, and anyone promising page one in thirty days is selling something. It is, however, extremely durable — the work you do this quarter is still paying two years later.

Be the first credible answer to the question your customer just typed — that is the whole job.

What we actually do

The order it happens in

01

Audit, properly

Crawl the site, look at what is indexed, what is broken, what is slow, what is duplicated and what is invisible. Then compare it to whoever is currently beating you, and work out why.

An audit report listing duplicated page titles, missing meta descriptions, broken links and empty image alt text, with sitemap and HTTPS passing. Step 1 of the SEO process.

Ask for one

02

Fix the technical floor

Speed, structure, internal links, indexing and mobile. Unglamorous, and it lifts everything else you do afterwards.

A performance gauge reading 98, with LCP, CLS and INP figures beneath it. Step 2 of the SEO process.

03

Build pages that rank

One clear page per thing you sell, per place you sell it. Written to answer the question, not to hit a keyword count.

A search results page for “roofer near Stamford”, the top result highlighted and rising above the rest. Step 3 of the SEO process.

04

Earn the trust signals

Local citations, reviews, links from places that make sense. Slow, steady, and the part that separates the first result from the fifth.

A diagram of directories, press, reviews and local listings all linking in to one business. Step 4 of the SEO process.

Local search

Google Business Profile, map pack visibility, service-area pages and reviews. For most local businesses this is where the enquiries come from.

Technical SEO

Core Web Vitals, crawl and index health, structured data, redirects done properly when a site changes.

Content that answers

The pages people search for and nobody has written. Usually the cheapest ranking you will ever buy.

Reported honestly

Rankings matter, but calls, forms and directions requests matter more. We report the ones that pay you.

No lock-in

Month to month. If three months in it is not moving, we will tell you before you have to ask.

Built into the site

We would rather fix the site than sell you a retainer to work around it. Sometimes the SEO job is a rebuild, and we will say so.

Search is not an advertising spend that stops the day you stop paying. It is a compounding asset.

How long it takes

On a site with decent foundations, movement in six to eight weeks and something worth celebrating around month four. On a site that needs rebuilding first, add the build.

We will tell you which of those you are before you commit to anything, and if the honest answer is that your money is better spent on advertising for the next six months, we will say that instead.
